Imagine waking up one day to discover your child has a special need. Imagine all the adjustments and anxiety that this entails. For thousands of New Zealand families this is a reality.

Many families face these challenges alone, without adequate information or support. Parent to Parent has been helping such families since 1983 by providing confidential support to the many parents whose children have a disability, health impairment or special need.

Every year Parent to Parent helps thousands of families in need by providing information, advice and personal support through a national and international network of families affected by the childs same condition.

Parent to Parent offers a toll-free line to enable parents to contact the organisation from anywhere in New Zealand at no cost. This is greatly appreciated by families who face additional financial costs in relation to the needs of their child.

Because our service is free, it relies on the generosity of the public.

Without donations, gifts and bequests, Parent to Parent would cease to exist and affected families would be left without their anchor.
